Tropical Gardening Earthworms kill potted plants
l have to assume these plants are on the out of doors deck or patio. With constant water and shelter from enemies pots are beloved by earthworms. Earthworms are in all ways beneficial to soil and not once have I ever seen a problem caused by earthworms. Not once and I have lived in the cultivated world for 5 decades.... They won’t directly harm any other worms in the compost, but what is comfortable for a pot worm is not as good for common wiggler worms. Dry out the compost heap by turning the pile frequently, skipping watering for a week or so and covering it with a tarp when rain threatens.

You mix it one part to ten with water to nourish your pot plants. But it's the worm castings I find most valuable. People always want to know how to go about separating the castings from the worms.
